Imperial Energy at the Russian Energy Week 2026
From October 14 to 16, 2026, Moscow hosted the VII Russian Energy Week (REW-2026). The central theme of the exhibition, "From Energy Resources and Technologies to Future Prosperity". Organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, and the Government of Moscow, the forum reaffirmed its role as a key international platform for the fuel and energy complex.
The business program addressed strategic directions ranging from the transformation of oil and gas markets, technological sovereignty, digitalization and international cooperation. The key ideological message of the discussions was the transition from the policy of import substitution to "import precedence" — the creation of domestic technological solutions that surpass foreign analogues and are ready for scaling.
The delegation of the Imperial Energy group of companies comprising Mr. Himanshu P.A. Topno (Chief Advisor for Exploration & Development, Additional charge of Chief Advisor HR, Contracts, Legal and Commercial) and Mr. A.V. Baklanov (General Director) actively participated in the event.
The delegation attended key sessions, including discussions on the transition from imported proppants to domestic hydraulic fracturing fleets, digital tools and data management in the energy sector, Russian LNG development strategy, and the Annual Meeting of Experts of the BRICS Energy Research Platform. The BRICS session focused on the hydrogen ecosystem, system tank storage, liquid hydrogen and ammonia transport, and technological cooperation, while reaffirming the continued central role of oil and gas.
Imperial Energy executives also held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of Russian and international energy companies on reservoir challenges, production efficiency, and potential cooperation. Concurrently, at the international exhibition grounds in Gostiny Dvor, the delegation reviewed equipment and technologies relevant to oilfield operations, drilling, and completion.
India’s participation as a partner country at REW 2026 underscores the high level of trust between Russia and India and their commitment to building sustainable networks of collaboration in the energy sector. The Exhibition provided Imperial Energy with valuable insights into technological trends, market developments, and opportunities for collaboration in the Russian energy sector.
